AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil
Being an avid fisherman and having to tow a 29 foot boat from the Berkshires in Western, Massachusetts to the Rhode Island coast every weekend, I needed a diesel equipped truck to get the job done. This 300 mile round trip through mountains pulling a boat this size put serious strain on any towing vehicle. I purchased a new 2002 Ford 350 P/U with a 7.3L Diesel engine from one of my auto dealership consulting clients. While owning the vehicle, I was changing my oil every 5,000 miles with different brands of conventional oil. I remember getting phone calls from my father on occasion and him telling me about AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil. At that time my father was diabetic and on insulin then and has since passed away. I recall him saying that I could get better protection, increased fuel mileage, reduced engine wear and extend my drain intervals to 1 year or 25,000 miles. When he said that, I honestly thought he was taking too much medication. I work in the auto industry working as an automotive service management consultant and typically work with several auto and truck dealerships annually. I did not pay attention and never researched what he was saying because I later discovered that I was brainwashed by oil companies advertising just as the majority of consumers are today. One day, I received a shipment of AMSOIL 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil at my door. There was also a synthetic oil filter in the package as well designed for extended drain intervals. Since the products were a gift, I changed the oil in my truck with what my father had sent me.
I did not want to readily admit it but I noticed an improvement in fuel mileage. What really made me a believer was when I had to crank the engine at -15 degrees Fahrenheit. The motor cranked up without the use of the engine block heater that I forgot to plug in the evening prior. This truck never started or even turned over at these temperatures previously. AMSOIL had always claimed it has excellent cold start lubricating qualities and protection which proved to be accurate.
Following this experience, I began educating myself more about AMSOIL and became more comfortable with their product claims. I noticed that while so many other oil companies or additive companies are being scrutinized for inaccurate advertising hype, misrepresentation and false claims, AMSOIL's reputation was never in question. AMSOIL backs all their claims with standardized ASTM testing. In addition, AMSOIL backs their claims with a GUARANTEE to perform at drain intervals as high as 1 year, 600 hours or 50,000 miles with most of their diesel oils. AMSOIL is The First in Synthetics. My research indicated that this registered trademark legally means they are the first to produce an API rated synthetic oil in 1972. In addition, they also had to justify they are the best in the industry. They did and no competitors disputed it, not even, guess who?
After three years of ownership, I traded in my truck at 80,000 miles and purchased a 2005 Ford Diesel with a 6.0L diesel engine. I traded because I was sold on the benefits of the new 6.0L engine and great sales incentive. The engine benefits did not come true as Ford quit producing this engine. I have 90,000 miles on my truck now and have changed the oil and filter six times since I change it annually and do not reach the 25,000 mile interval. Due to the economic crunch, I am keeping all my equipment longer than I typically would. Extended drain intervals and engine protection is AMSOIL's strength in the synthetic oil industry. They have proven it for 39 years with millions of miles on the road.
I now utilize AMSOIL synthetic motor oil, synthetic filtering, transmission fluid, AMSOIL Pi injector fuel additive and AMSOIL Quickshot Se. In addition, I have two stroke outboards utilizing AMSOIL hp Injector oil for my RI Fishing Charter business as well, Captain Sheriff’s Fishing Charters.
I am so impressed with AMSOIL products that I now represent their product. I really did not need to take on a third job but I believe the benefits since I have attained them for nine years. I truly want to help people save money, extend their equipment life, help preserve our environment. The AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil is a top choice for commercial fishermen and charter captains since it saves money, reduces the frequency of oil changes, equipment downtime and waste oil disposal.
As a RI charter fishing captain, it was hard to watch the BP Oil spill as it should be for anyone. AMSOIL synthetic oil manufacturer claims that if the 243 million vehicles on the road today used their synthetic oil and drain intervals, there would be 9.25 billion less gallons of oil consumed. We will not eliminate our need for oil, but we could make a difference by utilizing a man made chemically designed synthetic product that performs better in every aspect while saving money!
